TIP OF THE MONTH: Leveraging Premium Credits

Most carriers offer premium credits for employers that participate in certain safety, drug/alcohol awareness and managed health care programs. The purpose of these programs is to help establish preventative measures that may reduce the frequency and severity of illness or injuries occurring in the workplace. Once an employer has successfully implemented an approved program, their underwriter may be able to apply a credit that may potentially reduce their premiums by a percentage.
